C3 – Trailer frame: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose, no illegal welds, all cross members are properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose, and the floor is not damaged and will hold a load.
C4 – DOT reflective tape: properly displayed, clean and visible
C5 – Landing gear: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose, no illegal welds, handle is in the locked position, and it is fully raised.
C6 – Marker light, turn signal, 4 way flasher: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose, proper color of amber.
C8 – Tandem release arm and locking pins: properly mounted and secured, not cracked damaged or loose, locking pins and release arm are secure and in the locked position.
Shocks and mounts: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose. I don’t see any leaks.
C10 – Spring hangar mounts: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose.
Springs: properly mounted and secure not cracked damaged or loose none missing or shifted.
U-bolts: Properly mounted and secured, not cracked damaged or loose. All nuts are present and tight
C8 – Torsion Bar: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose. Has no illegal welds.
C13 – Brake hoses: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose, properly coupled and there are no abrasions, bulges, or cuts. I don’t hear any leaks.
C14 – Brake chamber: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose, I don’t hear any leaks and the clamp is secure around the brake chamber
Slack adjuster and push rod: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose, no more than 1 inch of play with brakes released.
C15 – Drums and linings: properly mounted and secured, not cracked damaged or loose, linings are not worn dangerously thin, less than ¼ inch. Free of oil, dirt, debris, and grease.
C16 – Tires: Properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose. There is no abrasions bulges or cuts, the tread is wearing nice and even and has at least 2/32 tread depth.
C20 – Valve Stem: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose. I hear no leaks and can check pressure with tire gauge.
C17 – Rims: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose and no illegal welds.
C18 – Lug nuts: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose, all are present and no signs of rust trails or shiny threads that would indicate a loose lug nut.
C19 – Axle seal: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose, check for proper fluid level, it is not leaking.
C21 – Dual wheels: They are properly mounted and secure not cracked damaged or loose. Budd spacing is nice and tight, no air gap. Proper space between tires, and free of any debris or foreign objects that might cause fire or sling out.
C22 – Door tie back hook: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose.
ABS light: (if equipped) properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose and it is the proper color amber.
C23 – Rear Marker light: properly mounted and secure not cracked damaged or loose. Proper color of red to the rear.
C24 – Doors: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose, cables are present not worn torn cut or frayed. Door opens and closes properly and will hold the load.
Door Seal: properly mounted and secure not cracked damaged or loose all present and not leaking.
C25 – Door Latch: properly mounted and secure not cracked damaged or loose. Secured with a safety latch.
C26 – Door pull down strap: properly mounted and secured, not cracked damaged or loose. Not worn torn cut or frayed.
C27 – Brake lights, taillights, turn signals, four ways, tag lights, and marker lights: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose. Brake lights, taillights, turn signals, four ways and clearance lights are the proper color red. Tag light is clear.
DOT reflective tape: properly displayed, clean and visible.
C28 – DOT bumper: properly mounted and secure not cracked damaged or loose.
C29 – Mudflaps: properly mounted and secure, not cracked damaged or loose, no cuts or tears. Proper height off the ground.
