I have been working for Dollar General Logistics for a while now. For me I wanted something that was not behind the wheel for long period of time. Delivering to the stores breaks up the driving time so you don’t get burned out behind the wheel. Also, for me, I wanted something that will keep you active and in shape. Working for the fresh delivery out of Bowling Green KY, you unload rolltainers and frozen to the stores. The work is consistent and steady and not waiting or have down time like some logistics company. At some locations they will take you out of school once you get your license and work with a trainer for a short period of time.
I enjoy working with the team in Bowling Green, and people you work with are great. Benefits are some of the best in the industry. There are several distributions center all over and I’m sure you can find one near your location. There are two types of distribution center, Dry delivery and Fresh.
